About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for amotivated Architectural Specification Writerto join our team inMurarrie Queensland.Reporting to theNational Specification CoOrdinator this role focuses ondeveloping door hardware schedulesthat align with client requirements Australian Standards and building codes. You will collaborate with a variety of clientsincluding architects distributors and developerswhile maintaining ahigh level of professionalismanddeep product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and completeaccurate door hardware schedules ensuring compliance withAustralian StandardsNational Construction Code (NCC) andASSA ABLOY product requirements.
- Interpret and analyzearchitectural plans and construction drawingsto develop tailored solutions.
- Provide expertproduct advice and technical trainingto junior specification writers clients and internal teams.
- Monitorcustomer and competitor movementswithin theconstruction and developer industry identifying trends and opportunities.
- Develop anadvanced understanding of ASSA ABLOY Openings Studio Scheduling Software compatible withAutodesk RevitandGraphisoft Archicad Building Information Modeling (BIM) environments.
- Maintain strong relationships witharchitects developers distributors and end usersto support project needs.
- Stay up to date withindustry trends ensuring ASSA ABLOY maintains a competitive edge.
About You
This role is an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and those looking to build a career in the architectural hardware industry.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 years of experiencein theArchitectural Door Hardware Industry within aDistributororManufacturerrole.
- Industry Accredited ADHA Level 1 certification(or willingness to obtain).
- Aproven track recordindoor hardware specification(experience in estimation is beneficial but not required).
- Abackground in locksmithing(preferred but not essential).
- A strong understanding ofAustralian Standards NCC and local regulations.
- Experience withmechanical electromechanical and Electronic Access Control (EAC) systems(desirable).
- Experience withCRM systemssuch asSalesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365(desirable).
- Excellentproblemsolving skillsand the ability to translate client requirements into technical solutions.
- Strongcustomer service skillsand an ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
