The role
Centennial Park is a dynamic and highuse public space and as Senior Horticulturist youll lead a team to ensure its landscapes remain beautiful functional and wellmaintained. From managing horticultural programs and supervising contractors to providing expert advice across the Greater Sydney Parklands estates youll play a handson role in shaping these iconic green spaces. Youll also work closely with event organisers and other stakeholders to balance public use with the ongoing care of the gardens ensuring high horticultural standards are met.
This role is about leadership as much as horticulturementoring staff prioritising competing demands and making strategic decisions to get the best outcomes with available resources. Youll also maintain plant records oversee repairs after events and contribute to financial planning all while working across multiple sites to provide expert guidance on horticultural best practices.
