Job Description
We are seeking a talented SDET to join our dynamic technical engineering team. In this exciting role youll leverage your quality engineering skills and experience to ensure the delivery of topnotch software across the L&G Group. Youll bring a strategic perspective to our team processes and tooling enhancing our workflows and ultimately delivering valuable highquality software to our customers. Additionally youll coach the team and stakeholders to refine their practices keeping quality at the forefront of everything we do.
What youll be doing:
- Championing the creation of highquality maintainable features within the engineering team ensuring we deliver exceptional outcomes to our customers efficiently. Focusing on developing solutions that are secure userfriendly and accessible providing significant business value
- Supervising the quality engineering strategy and operations employing various techniques and tools to uphold Legal and Generals high standards ensuring everything is welldocumented and evidenced
- Collaborating with the engineering team to understand and shape business requirements ensuring alignment and a shared vision
- Communicating effectively with the team and stakeholders facilitating informed decisionmaking and seamless integration
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement encouraging the team to inspect and adapt enhancing effectiveness and happiness and supporting changes that improve processes and culture
- Fostering a collaborative and respectful team environment coaching mentoring and supporting less experienced team members to develop and grow their skills
- Staying ahead of the curve by conducting ongoing research on relevant application technologies identifying opportunities to enhance the quality process and sharing your insights in community forums
Qualifications :
Who were looking for:
- Deep understanding of software testing principles and best practices
- Essential expertise in CI/CD and associated release strategies
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban to drive efficient development processes
- Mastery of TypeScript and the JavaScript ecosystem with strong skills in React Native and Node.js
- Handson experience with React Native Testing Library and automation tools like Detox
- Proven track record as an SDET or similar role thriving in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Experience with leading testing frameworks such as Jest Detox Cypress and Playwright
- Comprehensive knowledge of diverse testing techniques including accessibility security endtoend (E2E) and automation
