DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Records Manager. This position serves as the Divisions primary point of contact for records management. Ensuring timely and compliant implementation of applicable records management regulations and performing daily activities and longterm projects related to the Divisions records compliance.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Complete reporting of records management processes including records disposition essential records and public records requests. Track the retention period of division records and oversee disposition in collaboration with program management to ensure compliance with policy and procedures for records management.
Serve as the single point of contact for records management processes providing technical assistance concerning records compliance activities including public records requests requests for information records retention and disposition information privacy and reporting of essential permanent and disposed records.
Manage public records requests to provide timely compliant responses in accordance with applicable policy and procedures. Receive analyze and conduct research to efficiently and effectively fulfill requests including review of requests for legal or technical issues and removing (redacting) confidential information.
Provide records management guidance and technical assistance to staff to ensure proper understanding of records management principles and applicable policy and procedures.
Research and analyze federal and state laws and associated state and agency policy and best practices to provide general guidance regarding records management processes.
Assist in the implementation of records management policies and procedures including assisting with dissemination of information to personnel. Participate in implementation workgroups.

This ideal candidate for this position will have:
An associate or bachelors degree in a field supporting the requirements of the position may count for one or two years required experience respectively but will not substitute for records management experience.
Two or more years experience coordinating and handling government records.
This position may require driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business then the following requirements apply: Drivers License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid classappropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C. R210207.11.
Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the abovementioned process and the agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the LongTerm Disability (LTD) program after a 27week waiting period.
