How Will You Make an Impact
The Lead Packaging Operator is responsible for operating troubleshooting and assisting with packaging equipment setup and startup while keeping safety and quality at the forefront of everything you do. You will also assist with GMP documentation inprocess testing breakdown investigations and repairs related to packaging production.
A Day in the Life:
Efficiently and safely operate assigned packaging equipment
Observe packaging equipment in operation and follow good troubleshooting practices to continuously improve and optimize performance
Drive safety culture and quality in all activities
Efficiently perform changeovers and cleanups to maintain patient safety and uphold cGMP standards
Document accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance
Participate in lean PPI (Practical Process Improvement) culture through tier boards 5S GEMBA JDI RCCM and/ or Kaizen events
Encourage a positive culture of partnership and belonging where diversity is welcomed
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Required: No previous work experience required
3 Years of work experience in manufacturing operations production or lab setting or related field
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Ability to speak read and write in English including technical and scientific language
Ability to perform basic math including addition subtraction multiplication and division
Ability to communicate and work well in a team setting
Ability to read work instructions procedures manuals and diagrams
Preferred: Experience in pharmaceutical production and/or packaging environment
Preferred: Mechanical proficiency
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
Ability to work in a fast paced controlled cleanroom environment
Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours a day)
Ability to operate a walk behind forklift (walkie stacker)
Ability to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to various styles of dust masks or respirators safety glasses safety shoes and scrubs or modified gowning
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to move repetitively including pushing pulling lifting twisting bending grasping and crouching
