Position Overview:
As an Operator I you will be responsible for the efficient operation of various production machines and support equipment. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that production processes meet the required standards and that safety quality and efficiency are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machines and control equipment according to established procedures.
- Adhere to startup shutdown and safety protocols to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow work instructions company policies and health & safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation ensuring a safe environment.
- Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot as necessary.
- Accurately read work orders bill of materials and maintain required documentation.
- Address non-conformities and assist in problem-solving within the production line.
Additional Responsibilities (Chain & Spooling Department):
- Conduct quality inspection including first piece and visual inspection.
- Utilize Nikon profile protector and maintain chain traceability.
- Record chain production weight print labels and package products in line with specifications.
Additional Responsibilities (Extrusion Department):
- Perform maintenance duties including filling out PM and cleaning checklists.
- Carry out extrusion die changes troubleshooting purging and cleaning.
- Set up and calibrate adapter-less tip sizes to meet production requirements.
- Conduct material drying mixing and perform measurement verification.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Prior machine operation experience in a production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Proficiency in basic math calculations and weight conversions.
- Clear communication skills in English both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with small hand tools and basic measurement techniques.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing is a plus.
- Ability to cross-train in various departments as needed.
Educational Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
