This is an opportunity for a seasoned communications professional with expertise in public/media relations reputation management and creative storytelling to lead external communications for Motorola Solutions in Europe. The right candidate excels at gathering facts and insights and developing strategic communications plans aligned to business priorities. They are comfortable navigating complex situations and adapting as events evolve. An impeccable project manager they easily navigate a network of crossfunctional stakeholders to deliver robust campaigns and stellar results.
The position reports to the head of Global Communications & Media.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Serves as a strategic business partner to the sales product and marketing organizations leading the development and of product launch and lifecycle campaigns across Motorola Solutions safety and security ecosystem.
Leads customer storytelling across the region from discovery and development through including coordinated announcements and events.
Manages communications activities at priority trade shows across Europe.
Creates wellcrafted concise and highly engaging external communications pitches press releases bylined content that bring Motorola Solutions innovation to life.
Cultivates media relationships and generates strong trade local and toptier coverage.
Develops thought leadership campaigns and content designed to elevate awareness and credibility of the company and its leaders.
Works with business government affairs legal and other teams responsible for safeguarding corporate reputation on a variety of critical matters including issues and litigation.
This role is based in our London office with a hybrid approach to working from both the office and home. It requires occasional travel across the region to support business needs.
Specific Knowledge and Skills:
Strategic thinker who can build a network gather information and translate it into communications plans and content that drive awareness and action.
Outstanding storyteller with strong writing editing and proofreading skills.
Savvy media strategist who knows how to leverage toptier trade and local outlets for earned coverage as well as paid shared and owned channels.
Seasoned professional who exerts influence in navigating all levels of the organization and consistently exhibits strong judgment and commitment to excellence.
Detailed project manager who leads complex workstreams with crossfunctional contributors meets tight deadlines and easily adjusts as circumstances change.
Selfstarter and motivator who consistently drives results.
Significant experience and track record in running successful media activities; experience in international media relations and managing a team is preferred.
