Your mission
You are responsible for optical (laser) intersatellite links within the Satellite Payload team.Covering all engineering aspects of the intersatellite links you ensure that the Space Segment provides the required System level functions and performance.
This includes:
- Definition and management of related Space Segment and Satellite Requirements
- Technical support to the System Level Engineering Team for related topics such as:
- Link performance and technical specifications
- Operations and control
- Generation and maintenance of Interface Control Document
- Support to Satellite procurement activities focusing on intersatellite links including review of Satellite documentation
- Definition of intersatellite link verification approach and system level tests
- Support to related Satellite technical topics including Payload System Engineering RF Performance Data Handling and Attitude Control
- Support to definition and of inorbit tests and operations
What you bring on the table
- Minimum experience of 5 years in the field of Space based Laser communication systems.
- Experience in related System Engineering activities such as requirements and interface management
- Knowledge of RF and data handling systems
- Good verbal and written skills.Good team working is essential
- Able to guide and control Satellite and Payload prime supplier
- Willingness to work flexibly and as necessary to achieve the goals on time
- Excellent written and spoken English German is a plus

Rivadas global lowlatency pointtopoint network of 600 low earth orbit (LEO) satellites is a unique nextgeneration constellation combining intersatellite laser links with advanced onboard processing and routing to create a ubiquitous optical mesh network in space. This orbital network in which data stays in space from origin to destination creates an ultrasecure satellite network with poletopole coverage offering endtoend latencies much lower than terrestrial fiber over long distances. And by routing traffic on a physically separated network it provides a layer of defense for any organization that needs to securely share data between widely distributed sites.
