Job Summary
Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice in Industrial Maintenance Technology.
Job Duties:
This position reports to the Dean of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and is primarily responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice in Industrial Maintenance Technology.
Incorporates a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students with differing educational experiences experiential backgrounds and learning styles to help them meet course competencies. Evaluate students progress toward stated course competencies and inform them of their progress on time.
Provides quality and timely access to students and communicates availability through appropriate methods such as posted campus/office hours and electronic communication. Maintains professional relationships with colleagues students and the community.
Participates in nonteaching assignments including instructional development academic advising student orientation registration assignments collegewide and/or division activities and committees professional development internal and external service and other assigned responsibilities determined in consultation with the Dean.
This position requires teaching at least 15 credit hours per semester or 30 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters combined. Teaching assignments may include teaching on one or more of the colleges campuses online or some combination thereof based on the needs of the students.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology and four years of related work experience. Candidates should have knowledge of mechanical industrial equipment hydraulic and pneumatic systems AC/DC circuits electric motor controls and PLCs. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication computer and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with experience in robotics will be given preference.
