Job Description

The National Accounts Collections Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the National Accounts collections team and monitoring collection and credit activity for all National Accounts receivables. This individual will report to the Credit and Collections Manager and will work professionally and effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers. In addition this role will assist in the preparation of bad debt reserve analyze company receivables for trends and prepare and analyze company DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide team withguidance recommend training answer daytoday questions and provide additional support as needed including time management and monitoring of hourly employee schedules
  • Provide assistance in the review and resolution of problem accounts
  • Conduct monthly meetings with collectors and provide direction regarding organizational updates collection goals and accounts receivable status
  • Monitor and produce reports that identify dollars to be resolved through departmental collection activities
  • Monitor A/R aging and identify trends
  • Work withShared Services Cash Application and AR teams on items requiring research and/or adjustments
  • Ensure performance of collections policies and programs conform in all respects with applicable laws regulations ordinances and other orders policies procedures and directives from supervisors
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as required or requested by management

Knowledge Skills Abilities and Competencies:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience inB2B collections (Fortune 500 Large Enterprise preferred)
  • 2 years of supervisory experience or Team Lead of 5 or more individuals
  • IntermediateExcel ability is critical to performance of job function
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing
  • Highly organized individual with the ability to research and resolve issues.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in afastpacedworking environment
  • Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and manage workload among team members
  • Demonstrate ability to motivate and lead a diverse work group
