About This Role

The Research and Development team is at the heart of this environment and plays a leading role in setting up collaborative research and development projects. This team also encourages and supports young people to pursue careers in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) by leading a broad portfolio of initiatives both inside and outside CAE.


The R&D team is interfacing with internal stakeholders such as Engineering Finance Legal Human Resources Communications as well as with external stakeholders such as Industry Partners Academia Government.


As a Project Manager in the Research and Development team you will work closely with the project managers that make up the team on a wide range of tasks such as:


Support the management of multiple complex innovationdriven collaboration programs on quarterly and annual basis from scoping technological eligibility analysis financial forecasting claim preparation and audits
Analyze trends forecasts and statistics relating to R&D portfolio from a technical and financial perspective. Consolidate and synthetize findings into reports to be presented to various management levels
Support and eventually lead program reviews negotiations and audits with internal and external stakeholders both governmental and nongovernmental organizations.
Participate in the preparation business cases for opportunities aligned with CAEs growth strategies.
Manage innovationdriven collaborations events sponsorships bursaries and initiatives in support of CAEs interaction/commitment with postsecondary institutions across Canada


Job Requirements:


Bachelors in engineering management law or related disciplines
Strong analytical skills and ability to abstract and summarize
Experience in proposals and management of government programs (SR&ED Multimedia Tax Credits NSERC MITACS International Programs and others) an asset
Excellent communication and writing skills
Resourcefulness and autonomy
Ability to manage initiatives of different sizes in parallel
Scientific curiosity and interest in cuttingedge technological developments
Work experience in a technology sector or in consulting an asset
Bilingualism (French and English)
Team spirit
