Salary:NJC Grade E: 29572 - 32654FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)
Working Pattern:This is a permanent position working 33 hours per week 39 weeks per year
Mondays 8.30am-4.00pm Tuesday to Fridays 8.30am-3.30pm
Pilton Community College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic specialist SEND HLTA to develop one of its newest educational provisions.
Over the last 2 years we have been developing a range of enhanced onsite provisions that aim to support a particular area of need. This our newest provision caters for pupils with significant cognition and learning difficulties whilst providing them with access to a rich specialist curriculum within a mainstream setting.
You will be working with a small class of KS3 pupils delivering literacy and numeracy teaching to them every day. You will assist the teacher to deliver some foundation subjects through topic work for them during the afternoons. In addition these pupils will have daily access to outdoor learning on our school farm.
The role is open to applicants from both primary and secondary colleagues who have the relevant experience to deliver the fundamental building blocks of reading writing and maths. The young people in the provision are likely to be working at around KS1 levels for much of their time in school.
