What do you offer

The Camp Facilities Assistant Coordinator is responsible for the building and equipment as well as maintenance and repair of any electrical plumbing energy and security systems while maintaining good communication with all parties involved. Internally the holder of the position will enforce security rules followup on various requests negotiate with vendors contractors and customers and manage any personnel necessary to carry out assigned projects.

What qualifications and abilities are we looking for

The successful candidate will have the following:

Education

  • Knowledge of cleaning products material equipment and techniques

Language

  • Ability to work in English
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset

Experience Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and follow cleaning and safety standards to complete assigned duties to the quality level established
  • Experience in all facets of Building Operations including HVAC Controls Electrical Fire Systems Pools and possess a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System Certified
  • Knowledge of basic facility maintenance functions such as painting plumbing electrical and general repairs is considered an asset
  • Experience in landscaping duties including lawn care wood chipping and raking is considered as asset
  • Experience dealing with cliental in a positive and professional manner
  • Ability to provide flexibility in scheduling based on the camps needs

Additional Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification.
  • Applicants must already have a valid permit to work in Canada.
  • A Police Record check not more than 6 months old is required.Police Records checks are reviewed on an individual basis and the offense(s) if any is considered in the decision
  • Semiannually staff must complete the mandatory training for the protection of Children & Youth and submit the certificate of completion

  • Risk Management: Ability to apply knowledge and skills to identify potentialrisksin advance analyze them and take precautionary steps to reduce/curb therisk.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build and/or maintain reciprocal and friendly relationships with networks of people whomaybe able to partner or assist in moving an agenda forward or furthering the organizations goals.
  • Quality Focus: Takes pride in ensuring that tasks are completed with a focus on accuracy and quality by monitoring and checking work or information insisting on clarity of roles and functions planning etc.
  • Leadership: Takes a role as leader of a team or other group. It implies a desire to lead others using soft power and interpersonal skills.
