Position: Civil Engineer (Telecom & Data Centre Infrastructure)
Location: Cape Town or Johannesburg South Africa
Contract Duration: 2 Years (with potential for renewal)
Project Planning & Design:
Collaborate with clients and crossfunctional teams to understand site requirements and design specifications.
Contribute to the design of telecom sites ensuring adherence to design specifications safety standards and local/international codes and regulations.
Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines budgets and resource allocations tailored to client needs.
Oversee the construction of telecom sites ensuring adherence to design specifications safety standards and applicable regulations.
Coordinate with contractors suppliers and local authorities to ensure smooth project progression.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress provide onsite guidance and address any client concerns.
Ensure all projects comply with local national and international regulations and standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards meeting client expectations.
Ensure that all projects meet strict client specifications and quality requirements.
Work closely with diverse teams across different countries adapting to various cultural and regulatory environments.
Build strong relationships with local stakeholders to facilitate smooth project .
Prepare and present detailed progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation ensuring transparency and accountability.
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on telecommunications and/or data center infrastructure.
Proven experience managing international projects and working in diverse cultural settings.
Strong understanding of telecom and data center site development processes and regulatory requirements.
Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to different working environments.
Fluent in English; French and Portuguese are advantageous.
African regional and international work experience is preferred.
