Summary:
We are growing and seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers in Shepparton to provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities. We have roles available on a full time part time and casual basis The successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients with daily living activities providing emotional support and promoting independence and community integration.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing dressing and grooming
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Help clients with mobility and transportation needs
- Administer medication and monitor health conditions
- Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
- Implement individualised care plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for clients
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Essentials
- current NDIS worker screening
- current Working with Children Check
- reliable vehicle comprehensively insured
We have a fleet of vehicles available for employee use but some personal use of your vehicle may be required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in disability support or related field preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanour
- Ability to handle challenging behaviours and situations
- Knowledge of disability rights and advocacy
