You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAn IT Generalist is responsible for managing and supporting an organizations IT infrastructure systems and services. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues installing and maintaining hardware/software and providing support to endusers. The IT Generalist must have a broad understanding of various IT functions including network administration security systems management and help desk support.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
Provide technical assistance and support to endusers (hardware/software troubleshooting issue resolution).
Respond to help desk requests and assist with resolving ITrelated problems.
System & Network Administration:
Monitor and maintain local area networks (LANs) wide area networks (WANs) and cloudbased systems.
Configure and manage network devices (routers switches firewalls) and servers.
Ensure the smooth operation of network services email systems and internet connectivity.
Hardware & Software Management:
Install configure and maintain IT hardware (desktops laptops printers etc. and software (operating systems applications).
Perform routine updates patches and upgrades to ensure security and efficiency.
Security & Data Protection:
Implement and monitor security measures (firewalls antivirus software encryption) to protect organizational data and systems.
Assist with data backup and disaster recovery planning.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain records of IT assets software licenses and network configurations.
Prepare regular reports on system performance security incidents and IT projects.
Collaboration & Training:
Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to identify and address technical needs.
Provide training and support for employees on new software hardware and IT policies.
