Job Description
Job Title: MEP Engineer

Location: Oman
Salary: 1000 OMR/month
Experience: 7 to 10 years
Job Description:
Amjaad Holding a leading company in Oman is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to join our team. This is a fulltime position based in Oman offering an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience in MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) systems design implementation and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design plan and oversee the implementation of MEP systems (HVAC electrical plumbing fire protection etc. for various construction projects.
- Prepare and review detailed MEP drawings specifications and system layouts in compliance with local regulations and project requirements.
- Coordinate MEP designs with architectural structural and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and efficient functioning of systems.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to verify design accuracy and ensure proper implementation during construction.
- Manage and supervise MEP installation commissioning and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Prepare project budgets timelines and resource plans ensuring that all MEP work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Provide technical support and guidance to contractors subcontractors and other project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve materials and equipment specifications ensuring that they meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Perform energy efficiency analysis and propose costeffective and sustainable solutions for MEP systems.
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards codes and regulations in all MEP designs and installations.
- Monitor and resolve any issues that arise during the installation or operational phase of MEP systems providing solutions as required.
- Assist in project documentation including reports meeting minutes and project updates for stakeholders and clients.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and staff fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Electrical or Civil Engineering or related field.
- 7 to 10 years of handson experience in MEP engineering with expertise in design implementation and project management.
- Proficiency in MEP design software such as AutoCAD Revit and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong knowledge of building systems MEP codes regulations and standards in Oman or the GCC region.
- Experience in coordinating and managing MEP systems for commercial residential and industrial projects.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to propose innovative solutions.
- Strong project management skills including budgeting scheduling and team coordination.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Detailoriented with a strong focus on quality safety and efficiency.
- Familiarity with energyefficient systems and sustainable practices in MEP design and implementation.
