Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a nurse to manage patient recruitment for the Ona project. This is a project to create a proof of concept for a comprehensive medication and equipment calculation assistant for paediatric emergencies. The assistant will include a visual image of the patient to estimate their weight. The nurse has to explain in detail the characteristics of the study and offer to participate by signing the informed consent. The nurse then has to take the images of the patient according to the study protocol and upload the necessary information to the appropriate application.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Offer participation in the study through verbal explanations and facilitating informed consent to all candidate patients who attend outpatient consultations.
  • Resolve any doubts regarding the study that may arise from the companions of minors.
  • Have a proactive attitude in recruiting patients.
  • Collect the data required by the study protocol (weight height age etc.
  • Take images of the patient according to the study protocol and store them following all established security measures.
  • Communicate with the principal investigator of the study to resolve any possible incidents that may arise.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
  • Level of education required: degree in nursing
  • Languages: Catalan Spanish and English.
  • Personal skills: communication skills.
  • Experience required: minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric units.
