Job Description
- Key Accountabilities:
- Drive Cloud Modernization Roadmap
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to steer the roadmap for modernization and migration of legacy capabilities to Public Cloud
- Drive the decision making around cloud migration approaches and tradeoffs based on business case technology strategy alignment product strategy and operational efficiencies
- Govern Cloud Architecture Strategy
- Provide cloud architecture thought leadership on emerging cloud engineering patterns and practices including API led connectivity Event Driven integration modern data platform architectures.
- Steer the decisioning around buybuildreuse in the architecture strategy evaluating capabilities of Cloud and SAAS offerings
- Manage and plan architecture strategies to balance BAU continuity in the interim state for complex cloud migration journies
- Bring thought leadership on data integration strategies with external providers and services
- Establish metrics and measurements to govern architecture quality technical debt alignment to industry best practices and frameworks such as Azure WellArchitected Framework
- Manage Business Resilience and Security in Cloud
- Decision making on critical security and compliance requirements in the cloud based on Info security and regulatory requirements
- Provide direction to ensure the future state architecture is secure by design meets data governance and data privacy requirements
- Define the process and automation to ensure enterprise resilience in the cloud leveraging Site Reliability Engineering principles
- Establish Risk Management and Mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of critical business processes in the Cloud based on the SLOs/SLAs
- Drive Continuous Delivery Model for Cloud Capabilities
- Own the overall Cloud Platform Automation strategy to enable business to rapidly consume cloud services improve developer productivity optimize the cloud platform spend
- Drive adoption of ALM and DevOps strategy enabling agile product development and continuous integration Continuous Deployment and Continuous Testing best practices.
- Drive Operational Excellence in Cloud
- Own the Cloud Service Delivery and Service Management based on ITIL processes and frameworks
- Promote continuous monitoring and observability everythingascode mindset steering towards a touchless cloud operations paradigm
- Anticipate and plan for achieving scalability and performance objectives while optimizing the overall cloud spend
- Experience you have:
- Handson experience in transforming application portfolios to public cloud
- Demonstrated deep architecture expertise with applying modern design patterns that leverage Azure PAAS FAAS and Data Platforms to application modernization scenarios
- Experience with architectural reviews leveraging tools where possible to automate quality checks
- Executed complex multiyear cloud transformation journey at scale
- Methodologies for adopting agile dev/test engineering at scale using SAFE or other industry frameworks
- Has expertise in ITIL processes/practices/methods as well as designing and implementing IT services
- Experience in implementing DevSecOps capabilities especially with continuous integration continuous delivery and environment automation (infrastructureasacode automated provisioning deployments and runbook automation)
- Knowledge of tool sets across the cloud value chain e.g. Azure DevOps Hashicorp Terraform AppDynamics ServiceNow Azure Monitor etc.
- Extensive experience transitioning complex end to end IT Service Management within multi vendor environment
- Has abilities to plan for organizational change management especially the impact of cloud to roles organization structure and change readiness
- Excellent communication and project management skills; adept at managing stakeholders at all level
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
