Job Description

The Communications Manager will support the Canada business and the Lead Business Generation and Marketing Canada in helping to drive growth through market positioning and brand enhancement. 

The role requires a savvy selfmotivated and organized communications professional. This individual will be equipped to work in a fastpaced organization with a track record of successfully implementing integrated communications campaigns across internal and external channels.This role will support the Lead Business Generation and Marketing Canada in amplifying our voice to the market and will play an important role in multichannel communications plans ensuring that our key objectives are prioritized for impact. 

About you:

You are an experienced Communications Managerwith 5 years minimum postgraduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment. You have experience implementing communications strategies for both external and internal audiences. You are passionate about storytelling and are adept at delivering compelling copywriting and digital media through a variety of channels. You are a team player who is curious has an eye for detail and is committed to delivering excellence. 

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Communications

  • Work closely with North AmericanInternal Communications Lead to manage internal communications calendar drive and measure engagement across internal channels and govern best practices for the Canada business. 

  • Draft communication materials for internal purposes comprising of newsletters email updates news stories reports and trackers etc. 

  • Act as steward of the Communications framework and guidelines for Canada ensuring all formal business communications are in line with company policy and our corporate identity and branding. 

External Communications Media & Digital

  • Liaise with Business Generation and Marketing Lead Canada to deploy integrated communications strategies including media outreach and response and other profileraising initiatives as determined. 
  • Support the Canada business as local LinkedIn champion with best practices copywriting and digital media as required. 

  • Collaborate with Global and NAM teams and agencies to support daytoday business and campaigns. 

Overall Scope

  • Think strategically communicate clearly and be able to work collaboratively with stakeholders to help formulate a viewpoint on complex issues creating concise and wellwritten narratives. 

  • Contribute to the greater North American marketing and communications strategy to ensure alignment and broad regional impact. 


Qualifications :

  • Degree and/or 57 years qualification in communications is preferred. (Level of experience of similar and candidate aptitude is however more important. 

  • Bilingualism is an asset but not required. 

  • Proven experience in a corporate communications environment. 

  • Strong copywriting skills and ability to identify and shape key messages. 

  • Communicates credibly and effectively. 

  • Strong attention to detail and believes accuracy to be important.
