Job Description
- Implement proactive strategies to encourage positive behavior.
- Cultivate a safe structured and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Modify and deliver instruction to align with individual learning goals.
- Teach core subjects while supporting social and practical life skill development.
- Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers to discuss student progress.
- Monitor and document student growth adjusting instructional methods to enhance learning outcomes.
Requirements
- Have an Illinois PEL with special education (LSB1 endorsement.
- Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities.
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role.
- A bachelors degree from an accredited university is required. A Masters degree is a plus!
