Position: IT Systems Engineer (Canberra ACT)
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Technical Team Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting: Resolving technical problems encountered by users or customers
- Guidance Provision: Assisting users with navigating software hardware or systemrelated issues
- Installation and Configuration: Guiding users through setting up and configuring software hardware or system setups
- Maintenance: Performing regular checks updates and upkeep to ensure optimal system or software performance
- Troubleshooting Network Issues: Identifying and resolving networkrelated problems to ensure smooth operations
- Implementing Network Hardware and Software: Installing configuring and maintaining networking equipment and software
- Identifying recurring incident trends and providing insights to peers and the Operations Manager.
- Effectively work and collaborate with other team members to resolve issues and for continuous improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate will have a current drivers license and a reliable vehicle a minimum of 3 years of
experience in a similar support role and must be competent in the following technologies:
- Active Directory
- Exchange
- MS Office Suite MS Teams and Azure
- Current Cisco CCNA and CCNP certification
- AntiVirus and Email Filtering
- Windows Operating System
- Experience with network and endpoint security (Antivirus/Antimalware Firewalls VPN etc)
- C class licence and reliable motor vehicle (Mixture of Onsite and remote work is required)
Preferred Qualifications:
While all candidates are evaluated on merit possessing the following will be an advantage:
- Experience in the management and support of network infrastructure
- Familiarity with virtualisation tools such as VMware or HyperV
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery systems
- Prior certifications like CompTIA A Network Security MCSA/MCSE are a bonus
