In this thrilling role youll provide essential technical support review innovative designs and build meaningful connections with internal and external stakeholders. Your Impact: As a Civil Land Development Services Technologist youll apply the Town of Cochrane/City of Calgary Engineering and Infrastructure standards ensuring our projects meet toptier design and construction criteria. Youll be the goto expert for public inquiries guiding our community through the intricacies of subdivision development with clarity and confidence. Embracing departmental requirements youll provide exceptional service to new developments capital projects and maintenance tasks all while monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of erosion control plans and facilities.
Your handson involvement with site inspections and development submissions will allow you to gain valuable field experience and youll play a key role in administering Construction Completion Certificates (CCC) and Final Acceptance Certificates (FAC). Additionally youll help manage our recordkeeping systems ensuring that all documentation correspondence engineering drawings and reports are uptodate and easily accessible.

What Were Looking For:
A graduate from a recognized Civil Engineering Technology program.
Knowledge of municipal Civil Engineering practice is a plus.
Site inspection experience is an asset.
Surveying knowledge is an asset.
Experience with drafting AutoCAD and GIS is an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional timemanagement abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skilled in negotiation and problemsolving within the scope/authority level of the position.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
ASET membership or eligibility for membership.
Alberta Class 5 Drivers License.
