Wedding & Events Sales Manager

Salary: £32000 £35000 annually


Job Description

We are an independent family run luxury venue set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside with multiple restaurants a farm shop picture house events spaces a festival field and a hotel. We care about our land our people and our guests and we are looking to recruit a Wedding & Events Sales Manager to manage our busy wedding sales division with 120 weddings on the books this role does not sit still!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct appointments and show rounds with potential customers understand their vision preferences and budget for the event.
  • Maintain open communication and provide regular updates to clients throughout the planning process.
  • Conducting planning appointments details appointments & final appointments for weddings & events.
  • Take provisional bookings and ensure they are on the CRM system to be followed up and converted to a confirmed wedding.
  • Perform all necessary administration required by the position (e.g. confirmation letters; email enquiries; chase provisional bookings; pro forma invoices; details etc).
  • Manage the deposit schedule regularly ensuring all monies are received in accordance with our terms and conditions.
  • Be a part of all wedding shows.
  • Proactively sell all our venues for weddings ensuring we are maximizing opportunities.
  • Arrange and lead the weekly function sheet meeting with the wedding operations team.
  • Attend Sales Office meetings as required.
  • Assist in planning the Weddings & Events Revenue budget.
  • Take responsibility for achieving the budget that you put forward annually ensuring that targets are being met.
  • Proactively sell our event spaces to future couples.
  • Gather feedback from clients and guests to identify areas for improvement.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any outstanding issues.

Requirements:

  • Previous sales & operational experience in a busy eventsbased environment is a must.
  • This is an office based sales job with a small amount of operational input.
  • All applicants must have a flexible approach to their work and be willing to work some evenings and weekends.
  • An excellent standard of presentation is essential.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
