This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
General Setup and Accounting Records:
- Comprehend and retain a general understanding of the major areas of the QuickBooks Online application including account and company setup procedures.
- Establish and maintain QuickBooks for new and existing clients including configuring charts of accounts customizing preferences ensuring accurate system setup and any other pertinent information.
Transactions:
- Manage daily transactions including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll and general ledger maintenance.
- Create and manage estimates invoices checks bills purchase orders and expenses in QuickBooks.
- Record and download bank transactions.
- Create payroll journal entries classes and custom fields.
- Send inquiries to clients and relevant departments.
Reporting and Reconciliation:
- Generate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements (profit & loss balance sheet cash flow) and assist clients in comprehending their financial performance.
- Customize reports for the owner outside accounting experts government agencies outside payroll services and other interested parties.
- Reconcile bank accounts and generate reconciliation discrepancy reports.
- Understand the addons that work with Quickbooks Online such as payroll credit cards and online banking. Be knowledgeable about available options.
Interfaces and Miscellaneous:
- Collaborate with accountants to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports and assist in yearend tax preparations.
Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Accounting or any Financerelated field.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Profound knowledge in bookkeeping or accounting.
- No experience candidates are welcome to apply.
- Must be willing to complete QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification.
- QuickBooks Online experience is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information in an easily comprehensible manner.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel Word) and other financial software.
- Expertise in Journal Entries is a must.
- Adobe Acrobat Experience is preferred (pdf management).
