Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a creative highly talented Senior UXO Supervisor (SUXOS) for employment on Guam.
In accordance with the Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board Technical Paper 18 (DDESB TP18 a SUXOS must:
Meet the criteria for and have performed the functions of a UXOTIII UXOQCS and UXOSO. Ensure compliance with a DoD Military Service and/or DDESBapproved site plans. Plan coordinate and supervise all onsite munitions response activities.
Complete a daily site report Review and approve UXO team reports.
Make the final safety status determination of discovered MEC with the UXOSO.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma 4 years of experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
- Current drivers license. The position requires using an AECOM provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle for AECOM company business.
- Pass preemployment drug screen.
- Participate in and successfully complete a postoffer preemployment fitness for duty exam in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120. This position is contingent upon passing a Fit for Duty exam by receiving a medically qualified fit for duty result letter indicating the employee is medically qualified to conduct work activities at the jobsite.
- 40hour HAZWOPER
- 8hour OSHA Supervisor (initial)
- Must have a 10hour or 30hour OSHA Construction Safety course. Current 8hour HAZWOPER refresher
In accordance with Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board Technical Paper 18 (DDESB TP18 a SUXOS shall meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Graduate of a military EOD assistant course; or an accredited UXO technician training course; or military EOD school of the US Canada Great Britain Germany or Australia.
- Onthejob training including but not limited to familiarity with the process procedures and equipment (e.g. geophysical) used for conducting MECrelated activities.
- Military EOD school graduates: 2 years minimum MECrelated experience 1 year minimum MECSupervisory experience 10 years total EOD and MEC experience.
- Accredited UXO School graduates: 10 years minimum MECrelated experience. 5 years minimum MECSupervisory experience. 13 years minimum total MEC experience.
- Graduate of an OSHAcompliant (Section 1910.120(e)4 of Title 29 CFR) 8hour Management and Supervisor Training Course.
- Possesses an understanding of applicable explosives safety criteria and experience in the various phases of a munitions response to MEC or the performance of range clearance activities as appropriate for the operations to be performed.
Must have completed a 10hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training and earned a Department of Labor Construction Safety Course Completion Card. Must demonstrate an understanding of QC and QA practices associated with MECrelated activities and managing and processing MPPEH including documentation of its explosives safety status

- Explosive Ordnance Disposal certificate
