Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Hourly Rate: $22.23 $27.37 (based on experience)
Job Overview:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will play a key role in managing patient flow throughout the clinic assisting providers in delivering highquality patient care. This position requires interaction with patients of all ages including infants children adolescents adults and geriatrics. The CMA will focus on collaborative and delegated tasks while working closely with providers nurses and the clinic management team to ensure optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Perform standard rooming procedures including taking vitals and reviewing patient history.
- Administer immunizations injections and medications as directed by providers.
- Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic lab tests.
- Assist with prescription refills and provide telephone support for patient inquiries.
- Facilitate communication between patients and providers.
- Perform xray duties if certified and approved.
- Conduct phlebotomy as needed.
Clinic Support:
- Assist with front desk and patient checkin support.
- Order and maintain inventory of medical supplies.
- Handle prior authorization processes for procedures and medications.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Follow corporate compliance standards protecting patient privacy and adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proficiency in clinical skills and participate in ongoing training as needed.
- Document patient interactions and clinical tasks accurately in electronic medical records.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Licensure: Must meet state requirements for medical assisting.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- Additional Competencies: Phlebotomy and xray operator certification (if applicable).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Active
