We are currently seeking a dynamic Finance & Accounting Associate to join our growing team as we continue to expand our operations.
Role Overview
The Finance & Accounting Associate will play a critical role in managing ClearGrids financial health. This position involves handling daily accounting tasks supporting financial analysis and assisting in regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. This role is essential to ensuring our companys financial operations are smooth and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate financial records by managing accounts payables receivables and general ledger entries.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts by analyzing past financial performance and market trends.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and prepare for internal and external audits.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements accounts and other financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in compiling and reviewing financial data for tax filings and compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the finance department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Experience: 2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles within fintech banking or similar industries.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping and reporting.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field. CPA or progress towards CPA is a plus.
