Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues related to networking and security.
- Building highly scalable and highly available solutions deployed on public clouds (such as AWS Azure and/or GCP) and/or hybrid environments.
- Assistance in working with other DIT teams which includes the network and security teams for cloud onboarding and migrations.
- Assist the operational team as needed and requested.
- Perform root cause analysis and post implementation reviews.
- Assist the cloud team to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
- Schedules and coordinates the installation and configuration of cloud network infrastructure solutions with customers and other internal DIT teams.
- Maintain and keep track of all technical duties that are related to cloud networking such as design planning management maintenance and support.
- Manage monitor troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues: utilization/throughput slowness and unexpected latency.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
- Extensive handson experience with Palo Alto VM Series firewall and Panorama configuration and optimization
- Experience with VPN technologies to include IPsec and SSL technologies.
- Ability to work on large TCP/IP networks design implementation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with name services and resolution associated IP assignments.
- Experience with routers routing protocols transit gateways load balancing and overall cloud networking including VPCs subnets routes security groups endpoints CIDR assignments.
- Experience with security best practices and implementing security controls in a AWS cloud environment.
- Possess strong problemsolving skills including the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud networking infrastructure issues.
- Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate cloud standards and security best practices to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Selfmotivated with strong teamoriented and collaborative attitude.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure components such as compute storage network management and monitoring (network and security).
- Knowledge of WAF as a Service (AWS Azure GCP).
- Knowledge of core network services (including DNS DHCP and IPAM technologies)
- Knowledge of IAM technologies (Azure AD AD AWS SSO).
- Ability to document detailed designs.
