Job Description
We are looking for a Graphic Communication Leader at the IKEA Delft Store.
The position of Graphic Communication Leader is part of the Commin team. You lead a team of Graphic Communication coworkers and together with your team you have a leading role in ensuring that the graphic communication in the IKEA Delft store is clear consistent understandable uncluttered and correctly placed.
Responsibilities
- Lead inspire and challenge the Com&In team and other functions in the store to strengthen the uniqueness and consistency of the IKEA identity in store communication.
- Taking a leading role in overseeing the complete range of customer store communication.
- Using your graphic design skills the IKEA Concept and IKEA visual and copy identity to create and implement graphic solutions that ensure clarity consistency simplicity and clear messages overseeing the complete range of customer store communication.
- Applying your knowledge and understanding of peoples life a home and their buying behavior to improve graphic communication inside and outside the IKEA store to facilitate the buying process.
- Lead coach and develop the Graphic Communication team and secure succession planning by constantly searching for potential candidates.
- Set clear expectations and standards regarding routines and responsibilities work together with the Com&In team and other store functions act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of your actions on the financial results.
- Secure high standards for good visual balance and consistency quality and simplicity costefficiency and sustainability in producing and implementing all store communication.
- Keep up to date and knowledgeable about home furnishing communication and retail design trends in order to support the Com&In Manager in facilitating workshops to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise store visitors through the IKEA visual and verbal identity.
Who are you
We are looking for an experienced leader with strong knowledge of the IKEA Concept and IKEA range presentation. You have experience working in Graphic Communication and are passionate about life ad home home furnishing and graphic design. In addition:
- You completed a graphic communication design based education.
- You have proven to be successful in leading a creative process and coaching people
- Excellent communication skills in English
About IKEA Delft
The IKEA Delft store has always been a bit different and has played different roles.
It has worked as part of the IKEA Concept Centre the global hub and source of knowhow. It has been a pilot store testing out ideas developed here and around the rest of the IKEA world. And most recently it took on the new challenge to become the first IKEA Reference Store. IKEA Reference Stores support and inspire IKEA retailers and customer meeting points to implement the IKEA Concept in the best way.
Right now the IKEA Delft is transforming in an omnichannel retailer in its market. This will be the main assignment for the next few years.

Availability
At IKEA the customer is in in focus. Our customers visit the store at various times also in the evening weekends during national holidays and during school holidays. We expect that you will be present when the customers visit us. Of course you have an impact on your schedule yourself as well.
