As a Building Energy & Carbon Specialist you will be responsible for assessing the carbon emissions associated with the energy consumption of buildings identifying opportunities to reduce these emissions developing and implementing strategies to achieve carbon reduction goals.
We are looking for selfmotivated professionals who can independently design and plan experiments good at data analysis and preparing reports for internal teams and clients.
The domain expertise is required in the following areas:
Carbon footprint estimation or modelling / Construction materials / Building Energy modelling and system measurements / Building Information modelling BIM / Sustainability Design.
Key Accountabilities
Conduct carbon footprint assessments for buildings including analyzing energy consumption data and identifying areas for improvement
Provide technical assistance and training to building owners operators and occupants to help them understand and reduce their carbon footprint
Monitor and report on progress towards carbon reduction goals
Keep up to date with the latest developments in building energy efficiency renewable energy and carbon reduction policies and technologies
Collaborate with other experts including architects engineers and sustainability professionals to promote carbon reduction in buildings
Prepare a standardized report of the analysis and use appropriate infographics to showcase the result effectively
Work with the inhouse team to optimize the simulation process and reduce the overall time of analysis and report generation
Support Glass and Gypsum R&D teams for developing arguments to support products prescription
The candidate should be enthusiastic to explore and develop new products leveraging publication journals and university collaboration
Skill and Knowledge
Minimum 3 years of experience in the relevant field
PHD or Master's degree or equivalent in Building Science / High Performance Buildings / Sustainable
Design / Architecture / Civil Engineering / Construction technologies or equivalent
Has technical expertise in the below:
Thermophysical properties of building materials
Heat transfer in buildings
Basic understanding of LCA and EPD documentations
Well versed with existing local and internal standards for building energy carbon quantification
(ECBC Net zero)
Simulation expertise:
Proficient in Rhino Grasshopper One click LCA Pollination (mandatory)
Use of EC3 Covetool would be an added advantage.
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Proficient in conducting big data analysis
Basic experience in MATLAB python language will be a plus
Experience with big data analysis and effective reporting
Excellent oral / presentation and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to work independently as well as in teams
