Job Description

Were seeking an Aspiring BCBA for our Life Skills Autism Academy!

Centria is investing in NextGen Clinical Leaders!

We have the leadership in place to support at least 1 Clinicianintraining at Centrias Life Skills Autism Academy in NW Phoenix!

LSAA is a division of Centria Autism where we are leading experts in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our clinicians develop individualized programs for each of our clients targeting the goals of the client and family. Here we focus our compassionate assentbased techniques towards Early Intervention. LSAA is an ABA program for children ages 6 and younger.

Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a qualifying ABA Masters program or Postmasters program in accordance with the BACB guidelines for the BCBAs education requirements.
  • Must have at minimum of 500hours of fieldwork accrued in order to be considered. These hours must be clearly documented on Monthly Verification Forms.

Title: Behavior Consultant Trainee (BCT)

Type: Fulltime Salary Centerbased

Location:13615 N. 35th Avenue Phoenix AZ 85029 (Suite #812

Center Hours: Monday Friday 8:00am 4:30pm

Compensation: $55000 $65000 per year (negotiable) monthly bonus opportunity

BCT/BCBAs at Centria:

The Supervising Clinician will provide guidance & support to Behavior Technicians as they carry out their Treatment Plan ensuring that clinical standards are being met.

Our Expectations (with support of a BCBA Director of Clinician Development and Director of Clinical Services)

  • Provide clinical oversight to clientele maintain quality standards compliance & retention
  • Develop childspecific treatment plans following the principles of ABA therapy
  • Train & nurture your team of BT/RBTs
  • Coach and develop your team to consistently achieve high performance by meeting objectives delivering optimal results adding value and pursuing continuous improvement.
  • Inspire parents/caregiver involvement in Treatment Plan; aiming to deliver no less than 1hour per month of parent/caregiver engagement to all clients
  • Ensuring the daily functions of the team are completed by communicating expectations; planning monitoring and appraising job results and performance. Identify skill gaps and assist with improvement.

What youll bring to the table:

  • Completion of or enrollment in a Masters ABA program with an accredited university in acceptance with BACB guidelines for the BCBA.
  • Accrual of at least 500 fieldwork hours in accordance with BCBA certification guidelines from the BACB (with supporting documentation)
  • 1 years working with children and autism spectrum disorders
  • Previous supervision experience is preferred
  • Crisis management experience is preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Centrias Resource Center office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM 6:00 PM EST
  • This particular opportunity is for our Life Skills Autism Academy in SW Phoenix.
    • Work schedule may vary slightly but will be during Academy hours of operation: Monday Friday 8:00am4:30pm AZ Time.
  • This particular position is centerbased.
  • Additional time or flex schedules may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job the team member may be exposed to a client who exhibits physically aggressive behavior which can include kicking pinching punching biting etc. The team member may have to use appropriate behavior management techniques with a client under such circumstances. Such a response requires agility quick reflexes and the ability to use physically evasive movement. The team member will be required to stand walk sit grasp reach bend kneel crouch squat hear type and write. The team member will also be exposed to normal office conditions and usual office equipment such as phone computer copiers files etc. The team member must be able to independently push pull lift move and carry objects weighing up to thirtyfive 35 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near far and field of vision.
