Summary
St. Margarets School (SMS) is Western Canadas only girlcentered independent day and boarding school located in Victoria British Columbia Canada on the unceded traditional territories of the Esquimalt Nations Songhees Nations and WSNE Nations. Founded in 1908 SMS is an international centre for girlcentered learning and leadership development providing empowering education for girls from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 (boarding grades 712. St. Margarets School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) School offering the Diploma Program.
The Director of Education Pathways and Global Partnerships plays a pivotal role at St. Margarets School develops and leads innovative initiatives aimed at advancing the schools mission of international leadership in girls education towards fostering an inclusive empowering learning environment for students. The Director drives efforts to cultivate partnerships that advance educational opportunities and support enrollment and fundraising such as the Global Impact Scholars Program and the Global Campus initiative. The Director is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Duties and Responsibilities
Educational Pathways Development and Strategic Planning:
Design educational pathways and programs for Global Impact Scholars.
Drive the vision of the Global Campus to provide students with experiential learning opportunities both locally and international.
Work closely with the educational leadership team to implement the Global Campus initiatives including study abroad programs mentorships and handson experiences.
Develop Global Campus strategies tor programming that align with the schools teaching and learning goals of academic excellence global citizenship and leadership development.
Strengthen internal systems and structures to enhance pathways and partnerships ensuring seamless collaboration and longterm growth opportunities;
Evaluate and report student outcomes program effectiveness and partnership success to assess and enhance the Global Impact Scholars program and related partnerships.
Contribute to the schools strategic planning efforts to align educational pathways with longterm goals and emerging trends in global education.
Support the External Relations and Revenue Generation teams to build enrolment and generate revenue.
Partnership Building:
Establish and maintain local and international partnerships with organizations businesses athletic clubs and educational institutions to attract global talent and enrich students educational experiences.
Identify opportunities for collaboration to support international study programs internships mentorships and joint projects.
Leverage external partnerships and resources that will create handson learning experiences for students aligned with their academic and career goals.
Student Support and Guidance (Global Impact Scholars):
Support Global Impact Scholars assisting with their transition to life in Canada and integration into the school community.
Guide new students in selecting courses extracurricular activities and career pathways that align with their aspirations and growth.
Advocate for the academic and personal development and wellbeing of the global impact scholars ensuring they thrive within the schools inclusive diverse environment.
Develop procedures practices and resources that support the selection and onboarding to ensure smooth transitions and continuous support for these unique students.
Community Engagement:
Actively engage with current and prospective parents alumni and community members to promote the schools educational and athletic programs and partnerships championing the significance of a girlcentered education positioning St. Margarets School as a leader in this field.
Target athletic partnerships that build on the momentum of women in sport.
Organize and/or lead workshops seminars and events that highlight educational pathways partnerships and DEI initiatives.
Represent St. Margarets School at relevant conferences forums and public engagements advocating for girls education and leadership.
Donor Relations and Fundraising:
Support the schools philanthropic efforts by participating in donor meetings related to the Global Impact Scholars Program and other fundraising initiatives.
Collaborate in the development of materials based on Global Impact Scholars and other partnerships that can be used by the schools advancement and admissions teams.
Required Education & Experience
A masters degree in education (or equivalent) Educational Leadership International Education Global Studies or a related field.
Additional qualifications in Strategic Planning Program Development and Management or a similar area are preferred.
Minimum of 57 years of experience in educational program development preferably in a global or international context.
Proven experience in strategic planning and implementation of educational programs.
Experience working with diverse student populations and providing student support services.
Demonstrated experience in partnership building with local and international organizations educational institutions and businesses.
Previous experience in community engagement and fundraising/donor relations is an asset.
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Indepth knowledge of global education systems international study programs and experiential learning models.
Understanding of student support services specifically for international students.
Familiarity with strategic planning processes and metrics for program assessment.
Knowledge of diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) practices in education.
Understanding of fundraising and donor relations as it pertains to educational institutions.
Strong program design and development skills particularly for international and experiential learning programs.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders including students parents donors and partners.
Strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to align program objectives with longterm institutional goals.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to analyze and report on program outcomes and effectiveness.
Ability to work collaboratively with educational leadership teams external partners and stakeholders.
Capacity to support and mentor international students guiding them through transitions and academic planning.
Ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse audiences including parents alumni and community members.
Ability to represent the school in various public and professional forums advocating for the schools mission and programs.
Capacity to contribute to donor relations efforts including supporting fundraising initiatives and participating in meetings with prospective donors.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
