As the Youth Advocate Team Lead you will provide leadership and support to Youth Advocate Staff in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement while ensuring outstanding customer service to program participants. We are seeking a dynamic teamoriented and caring individual to join our spirited team.
To provide leadership and support the Youth Advocate in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement while ensuring outstanding customer service to program participants
Manage and report on the internal referral process
Provide functional leadership to EDSI Youth Advocate
Build professional oneonone working relationships with participants to assist in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment
Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed
Provide guidance and support for Youth Advocate to ensure positive outcomes and weekly performance goals are met
Facilitate weekly meetings with the Youth Advocate to ensure that the best practices are being used and to discuss improvements/goals
Provide consistent and comprehensive case management and followup per local area policy.
Work with the leadership team on implementing processes that increase youth engagement workbased learning opportunities and available trainings
Coordinate participant retention services and accommodate participant work schedules
Provide new employee training for Youth Advocate
Provide feedback to Performance Analyst regarding trends and potential problems with meeting performance
Provide case management and follow up
Develop and maintain relationships with opportunity youth community leaders schools and partner organizations to create a network of referrals for Nextgen
Plan and implement outreach strategies to connect with youth who are not currently in education or employment using culturally relevant approaches and communication methods
Organize and facilitate workshops events and information sessions to engage opportunity youth and raise awareness of available resources.
35 travel required between service counties: Vance Warren Franklin Granville & Person

Three to five years of professional business experience /customer service experience
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required
Ability to prioritize tasks and strong organizational skills
Problem solving skills and ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrated telephone computer and written communication skills
Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Valid drivers license required
