About the workplace

As an HRIS Consultant youll optimize & support the design and development of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to meet the strategic and operational needs of Vancity. In this role youll partner with business leaders to analyze HR processes enhance reporting capabilities and implement best practices that elevate our HR technology solutions.

This is a permanent fulltime role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. This role may require you to work onsite at least once a week.

A typical day would involve:

  • Collaborate with People & Culture IT and business leaders to assess needs identify HRIS enhancements and implement system solutions.
  • Analyze HR processes and system requirements ensuring HRIS configurations align with organizational policies and objectives.
  • Design develops and implements HR technology solutions that improve efficiency and enhance the user experience.
  • Oversee system maintenance upgrades and troubleshooting to ensure seamless HRIS functionality.
  • Develop and deliver HR reports dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support datadriven decisionmaking.
  • Support workforce analytics providing insights on headcount trends turnover recruitment metrics and compensation data.
  • Work closely with the HRIS Data Analytics Manager to create predictive analytics models and strategic workforce insights.
  • Ensure HR reporting capabilities align with organizational goals compliance requirements and business intelligence needs.
  • Provide system support and training to HR teams and business users ensuring effective adoption of HRIS tools.
  • Document system workflows policies and best practices ensuring consistency and ease of use for HRIS users.
  • Act as a liaison between HR IT and other business units to facilitate smooth HR system operations and integrations.
  • Diagnose and resolve HRISrelated issues escalating complex problems to IT or vendor support as needed.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identifies potential issues ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.

You have:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Information Systems Business Administration or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in HRIS administration system implementation or HR technology support.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as UKG is an asset.
  • Experience with HR data reporting dashboards and analytics (Power Query Power BI or similar tools is a plus).
  • Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with HR compliance standards
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to assess business needs and recommend technology solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with HR IT and business leaders.

The salary range for this role is $81200 to $122000 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications skills previous experience and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program subject to program eligibility requirements.
