Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Capex/Opex Coordinator provides support guidance and financial analysis to the production team and the finance department.

What Youll Do:

  • Responsible for managing CAPEX/OPEX budgets
  • Coordinate CAPEX/OPEX inputs from primes track spend suggest cost savings/improvement recommendations to plant manager
  • Create Purchase Orders as needed ensuring the correct use of Accounting general ledger codes and Finance project codes
  • Support Sr Cost accountant and process vendor invoices for payment in a timely manner in collaboration with the Accounts Payable department and followup with payment status as needed
  • Track receipt of physical assets at the facilities and communicate those receipts to accounting for accrual
  • Assist in the preparation of department reports budgets and expenses as needed
  • Works collaboratively with production department and Cost accountant to establish cost standards for manufacturing operations as required
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Negotiate with vendors
  • Other departmental tasks as required

Lets Talk About You:

  • Postsecondary Education with a focus on Administration and or Accounting preferred
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing or apparel company preferred
  • Computer Savvy. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word Outlook and advanced Excel
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Numeracy skills
  • Negotiation skills strong verbal and written communication and follow up skills
