About the position
Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry. Millions of people around the world use Dometic products in outdoor residential and professional applications. We are on a journey of continuous growth now looking for a Product Manager/ Application Engineer.
The position requires office presence in the Pescara office it cannot be filled from a remote schedule.
Your main responsibilities
Mobile Power Solution is a business unit within the Dometic Group which focuses on the power electronic products and solutions in all type of vehicles. These include all steps from energy generation to providing the load. Main Product Groups are Solar Batteries inverters chargers and system controls. The Product manager plays an important role in Dometics overall strategy and is a crucial factor to reach the companys short / medium term goals and make Dometics vision of Mobile living made easy a reality for customers. This role is responsible for technically support key RVOE customers in installing/checking/get trainings on MPS products in addition to test and validate new products and to support PM team in creating BOR of new products.
Main responsibilities:
- As Product Managers in EMEA you are responsible for ensuring a sellable product assortment within EMEA that complies with Dometic Group Guidelines for the finished goods (FG) and accessories (AC).
- As Application engineer you will have deep knowledge of EMEA MPS product portfolio and will help to the product strategy together with major key stakeholders such as PD Sales Marketing etc. to ensure a profitable growth in their respective ownership of a certain product portfolio.
- In his role Product manager Application Engineer will support sales: actively participating in discussion and meeting with customers also at customers site to deep dive customers request and needs and to support identification of solutions based on available product portfolio.
- Together with the marketing department Product Manager ensures a successful market launch and customer communication and event planning (e.g. trade fairs etc. to make sure that the products are positioned and recognized as intended by the market.
- In his role Product manager Application Engineer will continuously monitor competitors related technology and markets trends and will continuously test products and support and facilitate their validation
Additional Responsibilities in Cooperation with Marketing & Sales:
- Market Intelligence (liaise with sales and customers analyse competitors research for new trends visit tradefairs networking with associations)
- Product Launch (grow business with new product launches supervising product installation support Marketing for further projects & activities)
- Product trainings (train internal sales teams support for special customer events)
Major KPIs: Innovation Index Dometic Profitable Expansion & Financial thresholds Technical knowledge in continuously update Forecast Uptodate product assortment
