JOB TITLE: EHS OFFICER
About This Job:
QSourcing Limited trading as QSourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda Kenya Tanzania Rwanda and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client we are looking for a competent skilled and experienced EHS Officer to work in Nairobi.
Job summary:
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Take a leading role in training implementation and enforce client and QSourcing EHS requirements
- Develop risk assessments for all routine jobs and ensure identified risks are adequately mitigated
- Perform job safety analysis for nonroutine jobs and implement adequate mitigation measures
- Ensure timely provision of quality PPEs as identified in the risk assessment
- Develop training materials train advise and monitor implementation of safe working procedures
- Perform regular facility inspection and follow through closure of all safety gaps identified
- Ensure all required medical examinations are conducted in a timely manner
- Ensure induction and statutory trainings are conducted as and when required
- Ensure inspection and relevant certification (including statutory) of all equipment in use
- Conduct Investigations in the rare event that an incident occurs
- Maintain proper and accurate EHSrelated documentation
- Prepare monthly and other on need EHS reports
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. AT least Diploma in occupational health and safety
2. Minimum 3 years of experience as an EHS supervisor in a busy manufacturing environment
3. A degree holder with relevant EHS training certification is acceptable
4. Detailoriented and highly safetyconscious
5. Ability to work under pressure
6. Excellent supervisory and people management skills
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills
8. Detailoriented and highly safetyconscious
9. Able to handle more than one client
