Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team in Etobicoke Canada. As an RPN you will play a crucial role in providing highquality patientcentered care in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care according to established nursing protocols and standards of practice
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patients conditions vital signs and responses to treatments
- Provide patient and family education on health management disease prevention and postdischarge care
- Assist with activities of daily living and promote patient independence when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record systems
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations
- Support and mentor nursing students and new team members as needed
Qualifications :
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution
- Valid BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Valid CPR certification
- Medication Administration certificate (for RPNs graduating prior to 2005
- Proven experience in acute care settings (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Excellent physical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and basic computer skills
- Knowledge of patient and familycentered care principles
- Experience in patient and family health teaching
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to work in a fastpaced sometimes stressful environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights weekends and holidays as required
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and relevant healthcare regulations
- Empathetic and compassionate approach to patient care
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions including standing for extended periods lifting and moving patients
Additional Information :
Hours: Currently days/evenings 8 hours shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

SALARY:
Minimum: $34.26 per hour
Maximum: $37.05 per hour
