HandsOn Role with Growth to Leadership
The USA Private Equities is seeking an experienced accountant who is ready to manage current accounting tasks while building and leading a team for future growth. The ideal candidate is an Accounting Manager with expertise in U.S. tax and is comfortable handling daily accounting responsibilities while also taking on the role of hiring training and managing an accounting team as the company expands.
This role is perfect for someone excited about working directly with numbers while also scaling a toptier accounting department. While the company is growing they need someone who can take ownership of the accounting function for several clients and help build an exceptional team for the future.
Responsibilities
What You ll Be Doing (for Now)
- Handling daily accounting tasks including reconciliations monthend close financial reporting and cash flow management.
- General Ledger (GL) reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Payroll reconciliation to match payroll expenses with accounting records.
- Managing and maintaining client books in QuickBooks Online & QuickBooks Desktop.
- Reviewing and maintaining accurate financial statements for multiple clients.
- Ensuring taxefficient accounting practices in collaboration with our tax team.
- Managing client communication helping business owners understand their numbers.
What You ll Be Doing (as We Grow)
- Hiring training and leading an accounting team.
- Developing internal processes to improve efficiency and reporting.
- Implementing automation tools and software to scale operations.
You ll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Have strong handson public accounting skills and don t mind doing the work now
- Are highly proficient in QuickBooks Online & QuickBooks Desktop
- Have a strong understanding of GL reconciliation and payroll reconciliation
- Are a problemsolver who can improve and streamline accounting processes
- Have a solid understanding of U.S. tax principles and taxefficient accounting
- Have experience preparing or reviewing U.S. corporate tax returns (a plus but not required)
- Love working with small and medium sized businesses and startups
- Have experience in managing a team
Requirements
MustHaves:
- 7 years of accounting experience including financial reporting & advisory
- 3 years in a management or leadership role (or readiness to step up)
- CPA or equivalent credential strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of GAAP financial reporting and taxefficient accounting
- Comfortable working solo now but ready to build and lead a team soon
- Amenable to work for a graveyard shifft (PST schedule)
