Job Description
- Compliance with and enforcement of the Mining (Management and Safety) Regulations of 1990.
- Ensuring proper allocation and utilisation of resources.
- Implementing and oversee the prescribed guidelines and legislation for drilling and blasting activities.
- Interacting with the relevant departments and ensuring that the mining team is coordinated monitored and optimised.
- Ensuring production targets are met within defined parameters.
- Maintaining operating costs within budget limitations.
- Ensure compliance with Social Performance requirements that include identifying and managing risks with social and human rights impacts
- Compliance with company quality assurance health safety risk social and environment management systems
Qualifications :
- A recognized degree or diploma in mining engineering.
- A full blasting license and NEC Certificate
- At least 5 years mining experience for degree holders and 10 years for diploma holders.
- Experience in trackless mining will be a distinct advantage.
- Must be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence
- Valid Defensive Driving Certificate
