Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs assisting them in accessing the curriculum.
Support students with emotional and social development helping them build confidence and positive relationships.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning strategies and tailor activities to meet the individual needs of students.
Help manage student behaviour ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Assist with monitoring and recording progress offering feedback and insights to help guide further learning.
Foster a safe and supportive environment where all students feel respected and encouraged to succeed.
Previous experience working with students with SEN is preferred but not essential.
A patient empathetic and proactive approach to working with children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
A genuine passion for supporting childrens development and helping them thrive in the classroom.
An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
