EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field Or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of security best practices
Good engineering skills
5 years of experience in IT security in large organisations with a focus on the following areas:
Knowledge of cryptographic installation techniques and standards
Experience with Cryptographic Systems design management and implementation of modern Cryptographic systems and applications
Very good knowledge of modern communication and Internet Protocol (IP) based networking technologies and systems including security aspects
Experienced and excellent knowledge of COMSEC principles and practices including physical security standards relating to COMSEC
Extensive experience in the analysis of risk and in the implementation and integration of INFOSEC protective measures
Good experience with latest Virtualization Technologies
Extensive experience in operating systems backup and restore
Knowledge of CRYPTO accounting and distribution
Working knowledge of the operation of communications systems and troubleshooting techniques
Experience with implementation projects within NATO and/or National military organizations is desirable
Good understanding of the constraints related to IT systems on NATO networks
Support Package to CP 122 project Enhance and Sustain the IP/Packet Encryption Capability
project planning coordination testing and resource management
the lead on site survey integration/installation and inspection of cryptographic systems for secure end to end services
focal point for subject matter expertise helpdesk in support of cryptographic issues
build and test prototype IA designs to support new/modified requirements such as deployable secure CIS
Advice and guidance to NCI Agency Project and System Managers during the whole life cycle of NATO CIS as well as providing subject matter related briefings and presentations
Installation and commissioning of NATO crypto equipment
will be responsible for the day to day installation and commissioning of all Infrastructurefunded and other crypto equipment NATO wide in support of NATO HQs NATO Nations NATO Operations and NATO Exercises
NATO CIS projects Support Package Rough order of Magnitude (ROM) and TBCEs inputs
review and provide input to capability packages
review and input to TBCEs of NATO CIS projects
efforts estimation for NATO CIS projects
User Operator Guides and User Maintenance documentation Package
Carry over activities regarding the development production and maintenance of User Operator Guides and User Maintenance for NATO cryptographic systems
5. New cryptographic equipment installations training package
Development and production of semiformal training package during initial installation of NATO cryptographic equipment and systems
The goal of this internal / semiformal training package is to ensure that personnel are properly prepared to operate and maintain the new cryptographic equipment from the moment of installation making the transition to modern systems smoother and more effective
Reporting Package
Produce and provide report documentation for the relevant Security Accreditation Authorities as part of the security accreditation process
Create regular reports on security accreditation activities including successes and areas for improvement
Cryptographic Installations Integration and Implementation Package
This deliverable involves the implementation and setup of cryptographic systems and equipment at NATO facilities
The goal is to ensure that NATO has robust secure and properly functioning cryptographic capabilities across its various installations and facilities1. This is particularly important given NATOs recent focus on transitioning to quantumsafe cryptography
Deliver Secure NATO Cryptographic Installations:
Install commission and certify all Infrastructurefunded and other crypto equipment NATO wide at NATO HQs NATO Nations NATO Operations and NATO Exercises
Provide semiformal training during initial installation of NATO cryptographic equipment and systems
Perform duties as Central Key Distribution Authority
Conduct Inventories destructions of Crypto material in his Crypto Account
Issue or transfer crypto material as directed by the Controlling Authority to authorised COMSEC accounts (including subaccounts) or individual users
If the material is classified the Contractor will verify that the individuals are cleared to the classification level of the material
Perform encryption and setup of data at rest for NATO wide customers
