Job Title: Bookkeeper
Job Overview:
We are looking for an organized and detailoriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records managing accounts payable and receivable reconciling bank statements and assisting with financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records in an accurate and timely manner.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports including profit and loss statements balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Track and manage company expenses ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgets.
- Monitor and manage payroll processing.
- Assist with monthend and yearend closing procedures.
- Manage and update financial data in accounting software.
- Communicate with clients or internal teams regarding financial matters as needed.
- Ensure the proper storage and handling of financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Zohobooks etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A degree in accounting finance or related field is a plus but not required.
- Mastery of English at C2 level is required.

KEY COMPENTENCIES: Mastery of English at C2 level is required. Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accountancy and any related courses. 5+ years of relevant experience (bookkeeping, accounting, financial statements preparation, A/R or A/P, FP&A, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Demonstrative knowledge of QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Microsoft Excel, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a must. CPA or CMA Certification is a plus. Familiarity with bill.com, Gusto, Brex, and similar platforms is a plus Familiarity with e-commerce, manufacturing and/or inventory accounting is a plus
