Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in necessary product development and validation activities which may include:
- APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) PFMEA Design Reviews Prototype Builds Process Testing (PV Design for manufacturing and key supplier development) 8D problem solving and root cause analysis
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research applying knowledge of product design fabrication assembly machinery tooling and materials
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements researching designing modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
- Provides manufacturing decisionmaking information by calculating production labor and material costs reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements
- Develop and support cost savings initiatives and proposals
- Works collaboratively with Manufacturing Cost Analysts to assist with developing product costs during the quotation phase of programs
- Ability to complete assignments on time
- Perform other duties as assigned
- The ability to effectively build out project ROI and completion of those assignments
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- High degree of mechanical aptitude.
- Understanding of Manufacturing Methods and Procedures and Process Improvement
- High adaptive capacity to effectively manage demands and frequent change delays or unexpected events
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to efficiently manage priorities and tasks based on importance
- Ability to navigate and resolve internal and external challenging situations effectively and resourcefully
