Axpo has been operating in the Polish market for over 20 years now. It employs about 240 people and is one of the largest independent offtakers of green energy. Customers in Poland benefit from tailormade offers for the purchase and supply of energy and gas based on structured and longterm contracts. Axpo Polska also provides services to more than 25000 companies from the small and mediumsized enterprises segment and since April 2020 it has only been offering energy with a certified origin from renewable energy sources. While supporting energy transition in Poland the Company also implements largescale photovoltaic projects.
Currently we are looking for: International Analytics & Strategy Trainee
Your responsibilities Throughout the entire traineeship you will be responsible for the following (depending on your assigned rotation):
- Generating regular balancing cost reports conducting deeper analytical dives into this topic improvements of the related reporting framework.
- Supporting the team in the area of asset optimization related analytical reporting IT orchestration of data flows shortterm market price forecasting and longterm pricing models.
- Developing a hedging model to be used for longterm portfolio optimization.
- Participating in daytoday business monitoring with SME analysts.
- Overseeing data flow between internal systems.
- Creating Power BI reports for business analysis.
- Conducting market and operational analyses including efficiency evaluations and recommendations for the Axpo Polska Management Team.
- Mapping and analyzing processes for improvements.
- Supporting planning and goal harmonization within the OKR approach.
Our requirements:
- Quantitative background in science technology engineering mathematics or economics. Specialization in the energy market is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset strong organizational skills and a continuous drive for improvement.
- Experience in data analysis visualization and programming (preferably in R and/or Python). First career experiences in data analysis especially in the energy market is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills ability to build relationships and explain complex problems clearly.
- Proactive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proficiency in Polish and English (minimum B2 level).

Throughout the program youll take on stimulating 6 months rotations in various departments including Front Analytics Strategy and Business Development. Each stage will equip you with unique experiences and skill sets to accelerate your career.
The traineeship begins on April 1st 2025 and runs for 18 months with the potential for a permanent position upon completion.
