The Role:
As a Mental Health Therapy Aide you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of mental health services to our clients. This position offers you the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of those we serve working alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities: This list highlights primary duties but is not exhaustive.
Assist in the implementation of therapeutic plans for patients.
Provide direct care and support to patients including monitoring their wellbeing and safety.
Facilitate group and individual activities under the guidance of mental health professionals.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associates degree in a related field is preferred.
Previous 2 years of experience in mental health care or a similar role is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients families and team members.
Ability to demonstrate empathy patience and a compassionate approach to care.
Basic understanding of mental health conditions and the principles of care.
Certification or training specific to mental health aide responsibilities is a plus.
Must be able to perform physical tasks required by the role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
