ABOUT WOMEN IN SALES FOR A GREEN FUTURE

This project delves into the challenges and opportunities faced by green sales initiatives in Africa focusing on how sales training capacity building and mentorship can impact the sectors emerging market dynamics. It also emphasizes the role of sales professionals in shaping the green transformation. The overarching goal of the project is to skill upskill and reskill women and youth specifically in the field of sales. By honing their sales capabilities the project aims to empower participants to promote and sell ecofriendly products and services effectively. This in turn contributes to the overarching objective of propelling companies at the forefront of the green transformation.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As the Marketing & Communication Lead you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote the Women in Sales for a Green Future program. You will create a marketing engagement strategy manage content creation and distribution and drive engagement within the community particularly focusing on women in sales.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing & Communication:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights and input for the brand development of the project.
  • Implement a cohesive brand strategy across all marketing materials and channels.
  • Focus on creating visually appealing and memorable designs that effectively convey the programs message.
  • Manage the procurement and distribution of relevant branded merchandise for beneficiaries and events ensuring alignment with program objectives and timely delivery.
  • Design a comprehensive marketing campaign for the project utilizing a mix of online and offline channels to reach a diverse audience effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the campaign regularly making adjustments as needed to optimize results
  • Develop a content strategy that aligns with the target audiences interests preferences and needs.
  • Plan and coordinate events to market and promote the program to the target audience
  • Develop detailed event plans including logistics promotion and participant engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with partners sponsors and stakeholders to maximize the events reach and impact.

Community Engagement:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive community engagement strategy customized for women in sales
  • Develop a strategic plan that outlines specific initiatives and activities to foster a vibrant and supportive community.
  • Incorporate elements such as networking opportunities skillbuilding workshops and mentorship programs to address participants diverse needs.
  • Oversee the setup and configuration of an online community platform tailored to the requirements of the target audience.
  • Ensure userfriendly navigation and functionality to encourage active participation and engagement.
  • Implement features such as discussion forums resource libraries and live chat capabilities to facilitate meaningful interactions among participants
  • Create a content calendar outlining topics of interest industry updates success stories and relevant resources.
  • Develop original content including articles blog posts videos and infographics to address the needs and interests of the community.
  • Encourage usergenerated content and contributions to foster a collaborative environment and amplify diverse perspectives.
  • Organize virtual and inperson events such as webinars panel discussions and networking sessions to facilitate meaningful connections among participants.
  • Coordinate logistics secure speakers and promote events through various channels to maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Evaluate event outcomes and gather feedback to continuously enhance the effectiveness and relevance of future initiatives.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing PRCommunications or related field.
  • An excellent understanding of of social media codes and winning strategies in the green sector
  • Attention to detail strategic conceptual thinking creativity & storytelling instinct.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in designing & implementing successful marketing campaigns targeting green sector audiences
  • Proven experience in successfully building & engaging communities effectively particularly focusing on women in sales.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Ability to engage and passion for sustainability and driving positive change.
  • Proactive organized and resultoriented approach to work.
