Overview:

The Business Solutions Branch within DFATs Information Management and Technology Division has a requirement for multiple labourhire resources to fill the role of Salesforce Developer. As a Salesforce Developer you will implement and deliver solutions to meet clients business requirements in a project delivery team. You will collaborate with the Solution Lead to prepare designs. You will use outofthebox features and config over code whenever possible and meet best practice when customising with code. You will work closely with the business analyst to ensure that your releases meet business acceptance criteria and work closely with the tester to ensure your releases meet quality assurance standards. You will work with the release manager to perform releases through the DevOps pipeline and meet quality standards at each step.

We work with international partners and other countries to tackle global challenges increase trade and investment opportunities protect international rules keep our region stable and help Australians overseas.
• The Salesforce program within DFAT has been running since 2019 and is responsible for a broad remit of new and ongoing work ranging from Consular and Crisis support of Australians overseas implementation of Trade sanctions and governance and implementation of Australian Student Scholarship programs to name a few. We are looking for motivated professionals to join our dynamic team to deliver a sustainable Salesforce ecosystem to manage a complex and varied workload.

Salesforce Developer

Role Responsibilities:

• This is a delivery role with the following responsibilities
• Participate in the planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements.
• Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices.
• Translate application designs into functional configurations and code in line with development and configuration standards.
• Support quality assurance and release management operations to ensure artefacts can be properly tested and deployed.

• Excellent communication skills written verbal and interactive when online and able to tailor communications for different audiences
• Experience making persuasive evidencebased recommendations that allow decisionmakers to make informed decisions
• Ability to work closely with vendors and internal/external stakeholders and develop positive relationships
• Ability to work closely within the project team in a fast paced environment and maintain positive relationships

SUPPORT and SUSTAINMENT

• Experience in transitioning projects to sustainment
• Experience in providing technical assistance and end user troubleshooting

KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE

• Strong understanding of Salesforce best practice and functionality

TOOLS and PROCESS

• Experience with Azure Devops
• Demonstrated experience in tracking and progressing tasks using Agile Kanban or Scrum Frameworks

• Active in the Salesforce community
• Active to keep uptodate with latest features issues and vulnerabilities
