Deputy Manager - Footwear NPD

Experience working with shoe factories.

Strong skills in crossfunctional leadership influence and communication.

Fluent in English communication in both written and spoken.

Should have 6 years of minimum work experience

Responsibilities:

Overall be a key person to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of new developments & commercialization.

Manage development and commercialization process of footwear from design stage till handover to bulk production.

Identify interpret and apply market trends as they relate to the line.

Plan and build a line within the time constraints of each season.

On time completion of development and commercialization process as per Skechers standards focusing on prototype sampling costing material testing and quality control.

Coordinate with vendors and build up good relationship with them to streamline the development flow and communication chains among all key stakeholders.

Proactively work with vendors and internal functional teams (buying team and production team) to provide DFM (Design for Manufacturing) DFP (Design for Profitability) suggestions valuable material/product innovation proposals cost saving proposals and other proposals on workmanship and construction during development process.

Build costing models against each of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to aide Product leadership and Sourcing leadership in factory allocation decisions.
